Poem: Mirrors

Posted by Elora Montserrat on August 17, 2020

Mirrors show us a reflection,

a possibility of what others see

like a secret door to other worlds

where we can shape and dream.

But mirrors don’t always work.

As in the dark, there is no reflection to show.

Without light to reveal the truth

a mirror is blind and has no use.

Sometimes I wonder if a mirror is all I am.

A projection of desires, hopes, dreams, needs and wants.

A tool of the Universe to show infinite possibilities to hearts and souls.

But if I mirror is all I am,

only light can make me whole and bright

and no darkness will ever be a place where I can exist.
