Poems: Grief

Today I’ll just grieve for what it could have been.

For the broken pieces left behind,

the dreams, the moments and the passion we had.

I grieve for the love I can’t share

and the moments that we’ll never have.

The trust, the faith, the hope we lost

and the chance that we never got.

I grieve for your silence 

making me feel I don’t exist.

And the way you ignore me 

like if it gave you some peace.

Today, I’ll grieve.

For all that we are...

but we’ll never be.
